Double Expansion Shields are a corrosion resistant anchor that is designed to be used with a machine bolt in concrete, brick, block, and stone. The anchor comes pre-assembled and consists of a zamac alloy anchor body, 2 expansion cones (1 at each end of the anchor), and a wire expanding ring that holds the entire anchor together. The expansion cones are drawn in at each end of the anchor as the machine bolt is tightened into the anchor - ensuring consistent and even expansion along the entire anchor body. Recommended for anchoring into base materials of questionable strength.

It has a 360 degree one-piece clip that functions as a 2-piece clip for more contact, a torque controlled expansion, and can be installed into a bottomless hole. 3 head styles are available: Hex Nut, Wire Hanger and Tie Down Hook. More than 39 sizes are available, in 2 types of material: Carbon steel and 304 Stainless steel. Approvals: UL. Underwriters Laboratory - File #EX 4687.

- Using a wrench, tighten the nut by turning clockwise until there is a strong resistance. (2 to 3 turns will fully set the anchor)
