Selects SupplyWorks' Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Software Leading Manufacturer of Signage to Streamline Direct Procurement and Enhance Supplier Relationships using SupplyWorks MAX BEDFORD, Mass, 02/11/02 SupplyWorks, Inc., the leader in supplier relationship management (SRM) software for discrete manufacturers, today announced that Plasti-Line Inc. has selected SupplyWorks® MAX™ to streamline its supply chain procurement and enhance management of its supply base. SupplyWorks MAX, a comprehensive SRM package that includes multi-mode supply chain execution, extensive supplier collaboration facilities and advanced tools for strategic supply management, will enable Plasti-Line to enhance operational efficiency, improve manufacturing responsiveness and flexibility, and more easily manage future growth. Plasti-Line, based in Knoxville, Tenn., is the country's largest manufacturer of signage and retail identity solutions, including outdoor pylons, canopy systems and lettersets, as well as menu boards, interior displays and ATM surrounds. Using SupplyWorks MAX, Plasti-Line's production buyers and planners will be able to coordinate purchases and inventory across multiple locations to maximize the efficiency of direct materials usage and further improve cycle times and internal scheduling accuracy. Procurement time will be freed up from routine order processing and other clerical tasks to focus on higher-value-added activities aimed at win/win improvements in working with suppliers.
